Tanya C. Davies

Tanya Davies obtained her B.A (Honours) in Psychology and graduated with Magna cum Laude from the University of Ottawa. Upon completion of her undergraduate studies she attended Law School at the University of Ottawa and obtained her LL.B. She is also an educator and was a professor at Everest College. She is licensed as Barrister, Solicitor and Notary Public in Ontario and is a member of the Bar of Ontario and the Law society of Upper Canada. Ms. Davies' experience includes Criminal, Family, Immigration and Employment Law. She also has extensive civil litigation and small claims background. The extent of her experience includes but is not limited to:

Civil Litigation and Employment Law:

  • - Successfully sued a major Canadian bank for breach of contract resulting in settlement.
  • - Acted on a motion in a $1,000,000.00 defamation law suit.
  • - Successfully sued for an employee's wrongful dismissal resulting in a $20,000.00 award at trial.


  • Criminal law experience including but not limited to:

  • - Assault, criminal harassment, impaired driving, uttering threats, and jury trials for murder and sexual assault.
  • - Represented clients at sentencing and bail hearings as well as prepared charter applications.
  • - Prepared appeals to the Ontario Court of Appeal as well as the Federal Court of Appeal.
